This is where I came from: it is the land without sea, it is the land has only a river, but now I am a student at Salt Lake Community College. The reason I made this website is because as a child this was my favorite thing to do with my friends and family. This is my favorite traditional sport in Laos (Vientiane); every year in October at the end of Buddhist Lent’s day. They have the biggest boat festival in Laos; there are a lot of boats and people from different villages attending to cheer for their favorite team.

However some of the villages can’t afford to attend because it costs a lot of money. My hometown joins them every year and my parents and cousin used to paddle the boat when they were young, when I was growing up. I am very exciting to write this story of my home town event, because I want to share my culture to others. It’s a small country but it has something very unique. I believe many countries don’t have this kind of boat, because they are only in Southeast Asia. (It has a certain kind of big tree to build the boat racing.)
